Christie Brinkley has been a good friend of The Bridgehampton Florist for 20 some years. One of my favorite memories of Christie was sitting down with her to create a magical wedding just two weeks before the big Event. Now anyone who has ever planned a wedding time table like that knows it's a major challenge. But as Christie says with a laugh"I have some experience in this area, that's why I am smart enough to choose the best florist in town...now about the husbands...she added with a wink) with Bridgehampton Florist her wedding was everything she'd hoped and absolutely beautiful. Yes Christie is a beautiful Super Model, but above all, she is also an amazing mother and a caring role model. She's thrown her heart into local, national and world community issues that have made us proud to know her. Her latest involvement is in the plight of the world's fast-diminishing elephant population. Go to her Facebook page and learn all the ways you can join Christie in insuring the survival of these noble animals. Hampton's Magazine put Christie and two of her three beautiful children, Sailor and Jack, on their Holiday Cover. Pick up a copy to read the wonderful article on all she does. We were proud and happy to be involved in the photo shoot. Christie has a great eclectic collection of dishes, vases and holiday objects, which made creating a festive table as fun as it was beautiful. Take a look and see if you can get ideas for your holiday decorations. The shoot took place early Fall so while Christie Brinkley and kids dressed for the shot , we dressed the table from a Summery Setting and gave it a warm wintery feel with objects Christie has collect over the years and what a great collection she has.
Laying out the table. Vases found: A mixture of mercury glass, a gold container and some copper cups. I kept searching and found these wonderful plates with a red poppy, perfect with the red berries, and this brass flatware. But I am not finished yet... I am still rummaging around searching for the perfect objects. Wow! These vintage birds were bought years ago at The Bridgehampton Florist. They're the perfect final touch to the table. The table is set. So for all my fun efforts... here's what the final shot looked like!
