A close up of what I was teaching Ina. We started the day at the shop at 7:30am
This past week I did a new Barefoot Contessa shoot. Boy was it a long day! The new show Ina is doing: she teaches a guest something and we teach her something. I learned the one thing I always had a problem with. Don't know when the show will air but I will let you know. The show's crew is just as funny as Ina. Ben, the director, is so great - how he gets anything out of me is always surprising. Then there is 2 of the 3 Michaels on set - the sound man (on the right - is the only American, all the rest have that funny accent. Orlando is one of the camera men, we love him and you will not meet a nicer guy. He is married to Zana, who also works for Pacific and was staying over sea's watching their two children, Willow and Evan. We miss her and she always has me laughing. Loaded with my Ina Apron, I am off to the Barn to start my class with Ina. While I was waiting for my next scene I noticed the new jacket and the pages for her new, upcoming book, "Make it Ahead." I love when Ina's new books come out - it makes holiday gift giving a breeze! So I looked through the book and I can tell you there are lots of recipes I am dying to try. Can't wait 'till October. Ina's new book jacket. Here's Olivia doing what Olivia does best. She is the shows producer and has been with Ina since show one. She is a beauty and really knows what she's doing. I love her. Like Jim and I, her husband Matt and her work together. Matt is the other camera man. He is half seen in the photo (above) next to Ben. Olivia at work in the kitchen in Ina's barn. I left that day at 9:30pm filled with yummy food that I kept stealing from the kitchen. I started the day with a corn muffin, Ina asked if I like corn muffins. My reply was that they're usually dry. She changed my mind and wait until you see what she did with that moist corn muffin. As always, it was another fun day with Ina and her amazing crew.
